Aureon Consulting has an immediate need for a Sr. Scrum Master for a great client in the insurance industry. Must be highly collaborative and experienced with prior Agile transformation efforts. We need a driver who can help drive positive change and help our client become more consistently Agile across all areas of the company. Must understand process and procedure, questions to ask, how to hold people accountable, etc.
Would love candidate who can be in Des Moines at least part time, willing to consider a Hybrid or remote situation for supremely qualified candidates.
Candidates must have proven experience in the following areas:
- Experience helping organizations move from project and waterfall thinking to product and agile mindsets
- Effectively building and enabling collaborative, self-directed teams
- Must be able to collaborate, communicate, and work effectively with different types of users and at all levels of the organization
- Work within a culture that demonstrates accountability, integrity, openness, and respect.
Desired Skills:
- Collaborates with Product Owners and Solution Architect to understand requests, capabilities, and delivery schedules.
- Identifies and resolves impediments that are inhibiting the Agile Team from meeting Sprint Goal and/or other commitments.
- Creates an environment conducive to team self-organization and collaboration.
- Partners with Product Owner with respect to refining and maintaining the product backlog.
- Collaborates with the team to ensure the product/feature backlog is organized, clear, and up to date.
- Identifies and resolves and/or escalates roadblocks, issues, and conflicts within the team in a timely fashion. Shields the team from interruptions.
- Coaches, mentors, and motivates team members (internal and external) and influences them to take positive action and accountability for the team s work.
- Matures team in Agile practices by identifying team improvement opportunities and educating on best practices to increase productivity, quality, and team health.
