Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as an Information Security Engineer. This role involves a range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the security posture of our organization while supporting the development and implementation of robust cybersecurity solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of secure Azure cloud solutions, adhering to industry best practices.
- Collaborate with departmental colleagues to ensure the security of our systems and data.
- Provide expertise and guidance to management on cybersecurity matters, contributing to the design and architecture of effective cybersecurity solutions.
- Stay updated on relevant regulatory and compliance requirements and emerging threats in the cybersecurity landscape.
- Offer engineering support for IT projects, including evaluating and integrating new cybersecurity technologies and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
- Collaborate with IT Operations, Engineering, and Architecture teams to align system configurations with business objectives and security standards.
- Identify and address cybersecurity issues, evaluating alternatives and implementing effective solutions.
- Provide senior-level expertise on cyber threats, solutions, and architectures.
- Implement technologies and processes to prevent data and intellectual property loss, as well as service interruptions.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to security incidents as part of incident response plans.
- Conduct risk assessments and testing of data processing systems.
- Install, update, and configure security infrastructure and measures.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor s Degree in an Information Technology-related field is preferred.
- Technical certification in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google) and security certifications are advantageous.
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
- Proficiency in architecting solutions within cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or OCI.
- Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Security solutions, including Microsoft 365 Defender and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Familiarity with complex cybersecurity environments and solutions.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and microservices.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of Azure components, networking, compute, storage, managed services, and well-architected framework.
- Proficiency in Python, Powershell, and Terraform.
- Expertise in Azure Active Directory and related technologies like Conditional Access and Identity Protection.
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively and solve problems under pressure.
- Aptitude for communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences, from management to technical teams.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
