Hybrid Supply Chain & Merchandising Manager

Our client, a luxury brand, is hiring a Supply Chain & Merchandising Manager to join their team in NYC on a hybrid schedule. Candidates must have experience working and sourcing vendors in the food industry.


Job Duties Include:

  • Partner with local vendors to develop and launch new products
  • Assist with planning, building, and presenting plans for the division
  • Collaborate to phase sales, stock, intake and markdown based on analysis
  • Manage team to ensure deadlines are met in coordination with other departments
  • Assist with optimization of allocation plans to meet store needs
  • Assist in setting store inventory targets for associates to follow
  • Review department reports
  • Resolve problems that are costing sales and cash margin as they arise
  • Manage and develop team of store associates



Job Qualifications Include:

  • 5+ years of experience in inventory control, purchasing, and/or merchandising
  • AS degree in and/or equivalent experience in a Retail setting
  • Experience working and sourcing vendors in the food industry required
  • Experience working with Japanese food a plus
  • Basic mathematical ability
  • Experience in conducting market research and analyzing sales data
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with current retail trend and food business
  • Knowledge of basic Excel skills including generating reports and analyzing data
  • Ability to build effective relationships across the business
  • Experience managing food purchasing, inventory control, labelling
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations
  • Strong attention to detail



Salary: $75k - $95k annually + bonus
