We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a solid understanding of construction management principles, and experience with estimating Residential projects.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare precise cost estimates for construction projects, which should include the costs formaterials, labor, and equipment including all plan options.
  • Maintain the take-offs of all active plans.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Process plan changes and takeoff changes.
  • On-site field visits to validate take-offs.
  • Interact directly with builders, internal sales personnel and suppliers.
  • A self-starter who is able to work independently and productively, prioritize and handle multipletasks simultaneously, detail oriented and able to handle deadlines. Interact with team to verify take-off change requests.
  • Analyze plans for cost analysis recommendations and research cost of proposed design ideas.
  • Assist in the review of material EPO requests to ensure in accordance with take-offs and scopes ofwork and eliminate the need for material EPO s.
  • Complete take-offs as needed due to special projects and specification changes.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Three (3) years of residential construction/architecture experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
  • Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Outlook Valid driver s license required.
  • Full understanding of residential construction, architectural, structural, & MEP design required.


Schedule:

Monday-Friday, standard daytime hours; 8 am - 5 pm.Occasional weekend work may berequired.


Job Type:

Full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week.


Compensation : $60,000-$70,000

Ability to Commute/Relocate:

Charlotte, NC: Ability to reliably commute or willingness to relocate before starting work(Required).

In-person and some hybrid


Work Environment:


Office-based environment with a business casual dress code. Standard office equipment, suchas computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines, are used in this role.


Physical Demands:

The role requires the ability to talk and hear, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reachwith hands and arms. Occasional lifting of office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds, maybe necessary. Some travel might be required.
