The Adel DeSoto Minburn Community School District anticipates a long-term substitute position in preschool needed for 8 weeks of the fall semester of the 2024-25 school year. Adel Elementary is seeking highly motivated, quality applicants for this position.Adel Elementary serves students in preschool through first grade. There are three preschool sections with each section teaching a class of four year olds in the AM and in the PM. The preschool classrooms are inclusive settings, serving students with special needs and typical peers in the same environment.The ideal candidate would hold an Early Childhood Special Education degree, have experience with Creative Curriculum and GOLD assessments. Requirements:
+ Valid teacher license K-6 or teacher license in special education
+ Reading endorsement preferred

+ Knowledge of practices for a classroom including current research and evidence-based instructional practices
+ Commitment to collecting GOLD assessment data
+ Highly collaborative working with the preschool team, teacher associates and parents
