Service Technician
The Service Technician position for Screenmobile of El Cajon (SMEC) includes travelling to and assembly of window screen and screen door products at customer locations. The job includes product sales as well as stocking and maintenance of parts, products and equipment. This position reports to the Owner and works closely with the Scheduling Coordinator.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current Driver s License
- Basic knowledge of hand tools no screen product experience needed
- Basic math knowledge ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, understand and follow safety, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to stand, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb ladders
- Ability to stand 5-7 hours per day, lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and move it unaided 50 feet
- Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Capability of operating basic functions of a phone-based scheduling and billing system
- History of on-time work performance
Duties:
- Communicate with the Scheduling Coordinator to ensure that the assigned work is completed on time and per the job description
- Assigned equipment is stocked and ready for each day prior to departure
- Parts, tools and equipment quantities and condition are adequate
- Vehicle and trailer (if assigned) are in good mechanical condition
- Product is installed and functional per the training and specifications of SMEC
- Jobs, quotes and invoices recorded correctly and in a timely manner
- Show up on time, inform appropriate people if you are 15 minutes or more late, inform customers of your status and keep your timecard up to date
- Fabrication and installation of products per Screenmobile standards and scheduled by Scheduling Coordinator
- Appearance and Uniform in good repair and in compliance with SMEC guidelines
- Represent SMEC professionally to customers and in compliance with SMEC guidelines
- Other duties, as specified by the Owner and/or Operations Manager, appropriate to the Overview above
- Phantom Screens of San Diego duties are a separate position, recorded and paid separately from SMEC, as assigned, but will be counted as hours for overtime purpose on a weekly basis
Compensation:
- This position is hourly and paid at a current rate based on experience and performance
- An additional Revenue Share bonus may be paid each pay period based on the value of jobs worked on personally and performed satisfactorily, as determined by Owner
