One of the Largest National Builders in North America is seeking a Lead Assistant Superintendent based in the San Diego Metropolitan Area to oversee new multi-family and mixed-use construction. You will initially be assigned to a new project in Oceanside, CA. Having done $2.3B+ in '22-'23 production, this is an opportunity to join one of the most active Developers in Southern California and the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Pay range: $100,000 to $150,000
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of safety of the project, ensuring that all safety measures are implemented daily. All safety scores should be above a 95 average per quarter.
- Oversee the management of the SWPPP program, ensuring that all SWPPP procedures are followed daily.
- Oversee all field operations, monitoring the quality of the workmanship and materials on the project.
- Ensure all personnel are scheduling city inspections, 3rd party inspections and following and documenting internal quality control measures.
- Ensure that all project goals are met.
- Schedule with Superintendent all subcontractor work, including mobilization and deliveries.
- Actively create schedules along with Superintendent, ensuring all project goals are being met.
- Assist in minimizing cost to the project.
- Generate all schedules assigned by the Superintendent in written form.
- Ensure all photo documentation is being taken, labeled, and recorded into Procore daily by team members.
- Create, monitor and retrieve responses to RFI s.
- Conduct subcontractor weekly safety and production meetings.
- Supervise and delegate work to the positions of Assistant Superintendent, Punch Carpenters and Laborers ensuring that safety, SWPPP, Production and Quality standards are being met.
- Serve as the Superintendent whenever the Superintendent is not available.
- Closeout Projects
- Assist in the resolution of on-site subcontractor issues. All safety, SWPPP, Quality and Production issues with subcontractors are under your management to begin generating a resolution.
- Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor s degree in construction or related field is preferred.
- 4-6 years of experience preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of construction experience with at least two years of supervisory experience.
- A minimum of three years multi-family construction experience required.
- Must be familiar with multifamily construction procedures.
