General Job Description
We are looking for Apprentice Electrician to grow with our Company. Your job will involve assisting an electrician in installing a variety of electrical devices on a construction project. Apprentice Electricians are expected to assist the Electricians while learning the trade.
- Measure, cut, and pull wire to each device location
- Test electrical equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning
- Strip insulation from wire ends, using wire stripping pliers, and attach wires to terminals
- Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings, using hand and power tools
- Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical systems and equipment.
- Dig trenches or holes for installation of conduit or supports
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order
- Organize tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to the instructions of the electrician
Job Knowledge
- Experience in Residential or Commercial electrical new-build projects is a plus
- Past experience operating hand tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, and compression tools
- Have some knowledge of basic circuitry
Job Requirements
- Valid Drivers License
- Work from all types of step ladders, frame ladders, and all-size extension ladder
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions
- Must have basic hand tools or the electrical trade
- Work in all elements of weather depending on job location, time of year (heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight)
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
