Job Description

We are seeking a CAD Manager to support our Geomatics and Engineering teams. The successful candidate will oversee the management of CAD software, standards, and workflows, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of design deliverables. BSC s CAD Manager will supervise CAD software licenses, installations, and updates, ensuring that CAD tools are properly maintained and up to date, enabling users to perform their tasks efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will know what needs to be accomplished first, manage the workload appropriately to meet deadlines, and ensure diligence in all job functions.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage CAD software licenses, installations, and updates.
  • Develop and maintain CAD standards and best practices.
  • Evaluate and implement new CAD software tools and technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Establish templates, libraries, and protocols to ensure consistency and quality in design deliverables.
  • Provide training and technical support to CAD users.
  • Develop training materials and resources to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and optimization of CAD tasks.
  • Implement QA/QC procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of design deliverables.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of CAD drawings and models.
  • Collaborate with project managers, surveyors, engineers, and other stakeholders to support project requirements.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and vendors on CAD-related activities.
  • Manage CAD files and data, including organization, version control, and backups.
  • Ensure compliance with data management policies and procedures.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in CAD software: Civil3D, Leica, Topcon, Egnyte.
  • Knowledge of CAD custom
