Legal Assistant and Receptionist


Job Details

  • Draft documents including correspondence, discovery requests, court documents related to litigation.
  • Act as client liaison and communicate with clients, experts, Court personnel, medical offices, and opposing counsel and staff.
  • Screen, triage, and handle calls and email inquiries regarding legal services.
  • Conduct legal research and write memorandums of law.
  • Conduct medical research and write medical history and treatment chronologies.
  • Monitor court proceedings using LexisNexis File & Serve, file legal pleadings, and monitor and meet deadlines.
  • Detailed management of attorney calendars, including scheduling appointments, meetings, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Maintain and organize files, including organizing data such as medical records and bills.
  • Manage and create trial exhibits for mediation and trial.
  • Obtain case-related documents and information through various sources.
  • Manage office supplies and ordering


Desired Skills and Expertise :

  • College degree and/or paralegal certification preferred.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with 2 5 years of related experience with proficient working knowledge in the area of personal injury and/or corporate and business litigation.
  • Impeccable organizational skills.
  • Sound judgment and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite. Experience with LexisNexis preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and work with professionals inside and outside the company. Strong organizational skills required to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize assignments, and consistently meet deadlines
