Job Title: Account Executive - Datacenter (Colocation Market Segment)

Position Overview: As an Account Executive you will be responsible for driving revenue growth within the colocation market segment by developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to understand client requirements and deliver customized solutions that address their unique challenges. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in the critical infrastructure industry, with a focus on the colocation market segment.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify sales opportunities within the colocation market segment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT managers, and facility managers.
- Understand client requirements and develop customized solutions that address their specific needs.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to design and propose comprehensive solutions.
- Present proposals to clients and effectively communicate the value proposition of our offerings.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals on a consistent basis.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and market developments.
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, pipeline, and forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of related industry experience, with a proven track record of success in sales within the critical infrastructure sector.
- Experience selling into the colocation market segment is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in structured cabling, audiovisual (AV), security, or networking is a plus.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex infrastructure solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a passion for exceeding targets.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel 25-50% of the time.
- Preferred location to be based in Northern Virginia and/or Columbus, OH.
