Arc Herkimer is looking for a Dishwasher for the MV Golf and Event Center.

The Dishwasher is responsible for duties, including, but not limited to, cleaning dishes and organization and sanitation of the kitchen area.

Responsibilities include:

* Wash all wares in dishwashing machine or by hand according to the highest sanitation standards.

* Clean dish machine and dish area after each meal period.

* Store all dishes and other wares in proper areas.

* Continuously inspects floors in kitchen areas to assure they remain clean, clear of debris and dry.

* Wash and polish all stainless steel in the kitchen including shelves, dish cabinets, ice machines, refrigerators, walk-ins, etc.

* Wash and clean receiving, trash and other kitchen-related areas.

* Sweep and mop kitchen floors.

* Collect trash from kitchen area, empty garbage cans, wash and re-line with new bags, break down boxes, crates and removes debris.

* Examine garbage for misplaced silverware, dishes, glassware and other reusable items.

* Clean coolers, freezers and storerooms.

* Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work area.

* Assists in completing weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance list.

* Communicate effectively with Head Chef and Sous Chef when special products are needed or having problems with equipment and tools.

* Ability to have a flexible schedule.

* Undertake other duties, responsibilities, and projects as may be required by supervisor.

Position requirements:

* High School Diploma/GED preferred.

* Kitchen prep or restaurant dishwashing experience preferred.

* Must be 18 years or older

The position you are applying for requires the employee, after training by Arc Herkimer, to be able to physically assist consumers in walking, standing up, sitting down, and/or toileting and bathing. To do so, employees are required to be able to bend, stoop, sit, stand, and lift. Intermittent but regular, moderate physical exertion will be required in connection with positioning, lifting, transferring, and otherwise assisting individuals.

The employee is also required, with assistance by Arc Herkimer, to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and S.C.I.P (Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention) certifications. The employee is required to be able to physically intervene with a consumer when necessary using approved S.C.I.P. techniques.
