As a Technical Service Representative, youll effectively resolve internal and external customer issues through training, troubleshooting, coordinating and conducting lab experiments, and performing on-site evaluations. Youll partner with account managers and business managers to support and resolve customer issues and will be responsible for at least one key account. In this role, youll liaison between Manufacturing, Product Management, Quality, R&D and customers.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**
* Provides technical guidance and evaluation to internal and external customers, through partnering closely with business managers to support and grow the Estane business.
* Provides pragmatic solutions for customer issues or complaints through evaluation and guidance. Plans, analyzes issues, creates and submits work orders for analysis, and presents reports to customers.
* Enhances business relationships with customers through effective support and communication
* Works directly with manufacturing teams and quality labs to achieve targeted results and effectively resolve issues.
* Supports sales and marketing efforts in order to expand Lubrizols position within the industry.
* Provides technical data, reports, and communications regarding customer status or issues
* Provides onsite technical service to customers as needed
* Demonstrates a high level of safety awareness
**Required Qualifications & Experience**
* Bachelors degree in a chemical engineering or related field preferred. Significant relevant process experience (polymer processing skills, compounding, injection molding and/or extrusion, experience in TPU) may be considered in lieu of degree.
* Experience with TPUs, including injection molding & extrusion highly preferred.
* Ability to analyze and interpret various test results and methods for polymer characterization with written summary reports.
* Ability to troubleshoot process-related issues and translate to customers
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Willing to travel as needed
