We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Procurement and Inventory Specialist** for our growing, mission-driven team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing SunCommons solar inventory movement in and out of our Kingston, NY warehouse. Most days will be spent purchasing and processing incoming orders and tracking all materials moving out of the warehouse for installations or service work.

As the Procurement and Inventory Specialist, you will split time between the office and warehouse in Kingston, NY.

**What youll do as the Procurement and Inventory Specialist:**

* Forecast, order, and track all solar installation products in New York office by creating and maintaining Netsuite purchase orders

* Monitor inventory quantities to ensure timely delivery of materials

* Receive all incoming inventory within our computer system (NetSuite)

* Manage all items being removed from the warehouse for installations and service work; follow through with accounting team to ensure all products are accounted for

* Provide timely feedback on inventory levels to ensure installations are never delayed due to lack of product on-hand

* Conduct monthly inventory cycle-counts

* Strategically execute orders

* Optimize inventory by determining seasonal min/max numbers, sending back excess or obsolete inventory, selling legacy materials, etc.

* Sunset and liquidate obsolete items

* Assist and support the warehouse staff with day-to-day warehouse activities when needed

**Whats required of you:**

* A strong commitment to SunCommons purpose and vision

* 1-3 years of experience with purchasing and inventory control

* Valid drivers license

* Computer Proficiency, including Microsoft Office suite, Google, and CRM/ERP systems, ideally Salesforce & NetSuite

* Top-notch written and verbal communication and customer service skills

* Knowledge of solar installation components, how they are used, and use requirements is preferred

* Ability to regularly lift up to 50lbs, bend, twist, kneel, squat, climb ladders and work in varying weather conditions.
