**Material Handler**

**Department:** Inventory Control **Location:** Green Bay, WI

**AMI, Inc. is currently looking for a Material Handler to join our team in Green Bay, WI.!**

**Job Summary:** Operate fork lift in manufacturing setting in accordance with plant policies and procedures while ensuring smooth operations and moving of production products that meet customer requirements in a smooth flowing operation within a production setting. This position will also help in the daily duties of the receiving department.

**Hours:** Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

**Pay:** $16-$17 per hour (based one experience)

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**

* Loading and unloading of materials in delivery trucks

* Pulling, packaging, and palletizing orders daily

* Safe operation of Fork lift and accurate handling of materials

* Organize and maintain dunnage area

* Effectively and efficiently work in a team environment

* Assist all production floor staff with the moving of inventory throughout the production floor and warehouse.

* Accurately documenting of quantities of product to complete and fill orders

* Stock machines and shop floor as needed daily to support plant operations

* Assist in the end of the month scrap process

* Open and Receive UPS and Fed Ex packages

* Extra duties as required

**Basic Qualifications:**

* High School diploma or equivalent

* Valid drivers license

* Fork Lift Certification

* Good communication, problem solving skills

* Ability to meet deadlines

* Capable of working overtime to meet company and customer needs

* Basic math skills required

* Must be self-motivated and be able to work with little supervision

* Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks

**Physical Demands:**

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, bend and reach above shoulders. The employee frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls; and talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures. The employee must comply with PPE requirements including but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing and shields for required tasks and steel toed safety shoes.
