**Position Function/Purpose**
Daily supervision of all assigned Custodial Staff to assure all Custodians follow routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds.
**Major Responsibilities**
- To manage and direct the work of the custodian staff on the assigned worksite
- To keep the building and grounds including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean
- Guards against fire and accident hazards.
- Keeps operation cost to a minimum without reducing efficiency
- Helps to prevent property loss that may be caused by abuse
- Keeps all tools and equipment unserviceable condition. Practice and pursue preventive maintenance
- Keeps floor clean, waxed, buffed, vacuumed, or extracted
- Schedule and execute all normal housekeeping operations
- To keep light bulbs and tubes replaced
- Report maintenance through proper channels
- To be responsible for the security of buildings
- Setting and moving irrigation pipe and sprinklers on campus ground as assigned
- Keeps the supervisor and principal informed of all developments that affect custodial services
- Perform such other duties as assigned by Custodial Supervisor or Custodial Trainer
**Qualification Requirements**
The ability to read and write English
Ability to properly operate cleaning equipment
Lift heavy equipment
Proper use of cleaning supplies
Operate all custodial equipment
Pass all training courses
