**Job Category****:** Operations **Requisition Number****:** ASSIS022469 Showing 1 location The Assistant EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for employees that is free of recognized hazards. The Assistant EHS Manager will utilize the regional analytical data points for OHL & Temporary OSHA Incident Rate, Workers Compensation Reserves, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) incidents to apply the EHS direction, focus and develop an EHS culture throughout the region. The Assistant EHS Manager will utilize the company Corporate EHS Strategy in supporting the regional EHS needs for ensuring warehouse EHS for multiple facilities within multiple states, to include oversight of Corporate EHS standards with training & education, documentation, audits, hazard assessments, injury & incident tracking and reporting. The Assistant EHS Manager will support the setup and sustainability of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety management systems standard. **Job Duties** : - Presents training, education and awareness (TEA) programs to employees and management Collects reporting information for environmental and extremely hazardous substance information for EPA Tier-II and EPA reporting requirements Other duties as required and assigned Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with warehouse powered industrial trucks and equipment Working knowledge of the following: CFR29 Labor (OSHA), CFR40 Environmental (EPA) and CFR49 Transportation (DOT) Knowledge in the storage, handling and shipping of hazardous materials Knowledge of NFPA regulations with regards to flammable liquids, corrosives, etc. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to conduct training classes for audiences at all levels of the organization Ability to develop and proof training materials Proven presentation and facilitation skills Ability to write reports and correspondence Ability to solve practical problems Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
