Job Details

Ambassador Personnel is seeking a Manufacturing Manager for a high-end custom window and door manufacturing company in the Charlotte, NC area. The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily production, quality, resource management and project management of high-end custom orders in a manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Manager will also build vendor and supplier relationships, ensure continuous improvement efforts, and provide leadership around company initiatives. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with architectural woodwork production, custom woodworking materials and finishes, and/or window making experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the entire production process, ensuring that all projects are executed in accordance with design specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of woodworkers, craftsmen, and production staff to ensure seamless collaboration, skill development, and adherence to best practices in woodworking techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements, provide technical input, and ensure that production plans align with design intent.
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively, including raw materials, equipment, and manpower, to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of materials and negotiating favorable terms to support production needs.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in architectural woodwork production, with a deep understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and finishes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and other relevant production tools.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and evolving technologies in architectural woodworking.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
