Harbor is seeking a HUD Property Manager who will be responsible for the coordination, monitoring and administration of HUD Projects including, but not limited to Village Court I & Village Court II and Resident Connection apartment complexes. Ensures Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations are in compliance relative to property, tenants and Village Court/Residence Connection staff.
Position is full-time
Education/Experience/Other Requirements:
- Associate degree in business or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A professional designation in housing management from a national organization that provides such accreditation, or a minimum of two years' experience in directing and overseeing the management of HUD-insured multifamily projects serving the SMD population preferred.
- Above average Office and Records Management, above average oral and written communication skills are required.
- Knowledge of OhioMHAS, CARF and HUD certification/ accreditation requirements is helpful.
- Must have valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and be deemed insurable through Harbor's vehicle insurance carrier.
Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties:- Communicates, supports and consults with supervisors, supervisees, and other team members through regular meetings and staffing.
- Works closely with Harbor staff and clinicians on client issues, certifications and recertifications.
- Reviews and signs paperwork as applicable.
- Collects rent from clients, provides appropriate documentation, and sends reminder statements to the clients pertaining to rent that is due.
- Arranges for all inspections such as fire, security alarms, and sprinkler systems
- Maintains courtesy and professionalism.
- Conduct bi-yearly apartment inspections and follow through on needed maintenance items as a result.
- Maintain apartments/perform some custodial duties.For larger maintenance work, supervise maintenance, track the maintenance being accomplished, check and submit bills to accounting.
- Become familiar with HUD regulations and policies.
- Use the HUD software and secure systems.Go to specialized trainings pertaining to HUD.
