Job Summary:

As the Controller at LINX, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial and accounting activities at a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-entity company. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, and a deep understanding of financial and accounting principles within the commercial construction industry.


Our ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge of auditing, reporting and budgeting procedures. You should also be able to monitor daily transactions and recommend ways we can improve our financial health. 7 years of previous work experience, along with a degree in Accounting and a CPA license is required for this role.


Ultimately, you will play a vital role in our company s financial operations, ensuring compliance with the law and accuracy in accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger.
  • Actively manage general ledger close through and with staff accountants. Responsible for accuracy of financial statements and subsidiary ledgers. Working under established time frames.
  • Account for non-recurring transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and submit credit reporting. Participate in credit reviews.
  • Monitors actual performance against the budget and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Responsible for analyzing and implementing new accounting pronouncements.
  • Participate in the annual budgets and monthly forecasts including balance sheet, to guide business planning and decision-making
  • Present financial results to company management, participate in analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP along with various governmental requirements.
  • Manage internal and external audits, including financial, 401k, insurance and sales tax.
  • Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support for professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives. Including development and creation of financial data to better analyze and develop the business.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions along with team.
  • Manage and or participate in special accounting/finance/complex projects as needed.



Education and Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in accounting or equivalent is required
  • Master s degree is preferred



Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience working as a CPA in the public and private business sectors
  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing an accounting team
  • Minimum 1 year experience working in the Commercial Construction industry
  • Experience with WIP reporting
  • Due to the strong management role of this position, we are looking for someone to be in our Denver office at least 4 days per week
  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge (familiar with formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information



Pay Rate:

$130,000 - $150,000 / year + bonus opportunities
