Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 19 years of age.
- A minimum of one (1) year of education, training and/or experience in one or more of the following areas: child development, teaching, counseling, social work, sociology, psychology, recreation, programming for youth.
- A minimum of six months of work experience with young children.
- Ability to meet the suitability criteria for employment and/or certification licensure under the Alabama Child Protection Act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
- Use technology to communicate, to manage data, and to produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and/or financial information.
- Physical strength, mobility, dexterity, stamina, and acuity to perform job responsibilities.
- Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.

Salary Range: From/To Based on the 2023-2024 Jefferson County Board of Education approved salary schedule: $11.16 per hour to $14.12 per hour

Before school hours may be available.
Part Time
No Benefits
Approximate hours are 2:30-5:30/6:00 Summer Hours as available.
May be needed to work in other schools in zone.
