Behavioral Health Associates (BHA) provides mental health outpatient services to people of all ages. "Our goal is to provide the best mental health care we can and to meet the patients needs within our friendly and helpful environment."

We're accepting applications for a part-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor.

POSITION GOAL

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor will help patients to overcome and manage different mental and emotional challenges. They will meet with patients to listen to their problems, diagnose their mental or emotional disorder and build treatment plans and coping strategies for the patient to follow.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform initial evaluations of client needs and develop customized treatment plans.
  • Educate staff and clients on stress and trauma coping mechanisms.
  • Provide individuals with the resources they need to reach personal goals.
  • Monitor client progress and modify their treatment plans as needed.
  • Coordinate with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers and community outreach programs to provide clients with needed services.
  • Supervision with an LCSW is a structured part of the office routine.
  • Complete continuing education courses to maintain their disciplines respective licensure and stay up to date on the latest practices.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Compassionate towards clients.
  • Ability to utilize resources, both internal and external, to develop a client treatment plan.
  • Possess time management and organizational skills.
  • Utilizes effective written and oral expression.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and basic computer literacy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Clinical Licensure, LCSW or LPC preferred.
  • Two years of counseling/agency experience preferred.
  • Must maintain continuing education requirements for their licensing body.
