Responsibilities
Support CMO on manufacturing cost improvement for all products, including feedback on estimated manufacturing costs for future programs, identification of focus areas for cost, and execution of identified initiatives. Help drive cost optimization for all products
Manage and lead gross margin planning and actual for overall company with COO groups including cost and OCOGS and make recommendations on gross margin improvement
Coordinate with the controllership organization the analysis and reporting of actual results and be responsible for the preparation of budgets and forecasts for gross margin
Develop and maintain standard cost, actual cost tracking, inventory management and cost reduction initiatives and roadmap for all products including energy storage, microinverter, accessories and services products
Work with different business groups on forecasting/planning operating expenses and capital planning and consolidate at the company level
Guide planning and functional resource management (e.g. headcount, capital and/or any other targeted investment approvals, etc.) for specific verticals within the company, including development of financial forecasts with full economic analysis
Work in partnership with all Finance subgroups such as corporate financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, IR and controllership as well as other cross functional corporate roles such as legal, human resources and IT.
Evaluate transactions proposed by the business to understand the economic impact to the company and to its balance sheet, cash flow and income statement
Help with analytics for strategic activities including business partnership, vendor selection, facilities evaluation and M&A activities
Skills
Great understanding in manufacturing cost support like standard cost setting, inventory management and cost reduction initiatives
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with all levels and collaborate with partners across an international diverse organization
Strong business sense with the ability to utilize financial data to influence company decision making
Experienced in developing and presenting business plans, models, and financial forecasts to senior management
Detail oriented, to the point communicator, with data-oriented skills, organized and accurate
Successful in driving process improvements and system implementations with a continuous improvement mentality
Cross functional team participation and leadership capabilities as a change agent
Must thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic company environment. Strong work ethics
Willingness to own the building of complex financial models, considering a variety of business inputs; Be able to communicate the results and their impact to the business economics, accounting, tax and cash.
Capable of managing all manufacturing investments globally and able to develop associated forecasts
Experienced analyzing relationships with contract manufacturers including evaluation of major CapEx decisions, expansion plans and business cases
Required Qualifications
MBA, CPA and Big 4 experience preferred or BA in Business, Economics with 10+ years relevant experience
Evidence of exceptional ability, especially within an ambiguous environment
Demonstrated success driving tangible impact / influencing within a broader organization
Excellent analytical skills (e.g. Microsoft Office applications, financial modeling and business intelligent tools)
Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with senior business leaders
Highly collaborative, team oriented, and comfortable leading cross-functional projects
High level of initiative and work ethic.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible to change.
Comfortable working in cross functional teams.
Strong Excel & modeling skills required.
Strong communication, presentation and PowerPoint skills required.
