North Torrington Veterinary Hospital is a small general practice in Torrington, CT. We are looking for a part-time experienced technician who is a team player to join our wonderful staff and doctors. The ideal candidate will be caring, compassionate, and will show empathy towards clients and their pets. Candidates must have the ability to remain calm during emotional and stressful situations, be able to work in a fast-paced and growing hospital and have excellent customer service. Certification is not required, but a minimus of 2 years of experience is a must. We are looking for help two to three days a week.
Job Description:
- Understanding of Veterinary Medicine, practice and procedures (clinical & surgical)
- Be able to administer SQ fluids
- Familiar with dentistry
- Perform Diagnostic Testing
- Familiar with Phlebotomy
- Understand the importance of client education
- Prepare & maintain exam rooms, treatment area & surgery
- Must be flexible and willing to perform many job duties within the hospital
