We are a fast-paced organization that has expanded over the last four (4) years and is looking to continue to expand our operations. We are looking for an experienced senior leader that is capable and motivated to lead and develop a production team through new opportunities and state of the art technological advances. This individual is strategically focused on and has the ability and desire to assume a higher level of authority within the organization as their proven success within the organization is achieved.

*Position Summary:*

As the leader of the production team, the individual holding this position is responsible for the overall day-to-day operation, leadership, and management of a manufacturing plastics plant. Along with directing the production area, this position is responsible for shipping operations, purchasing, scheduling and facilities. The Plant Manager will ensure that the company production schedules, quality, and safety goals are met.

*Job Responsibilities: *

* Manages the overall safety, quality, scheduling, production, shipping, maintenance, and other administrative functions for the facility.
* Identifies opportunities and drives the company's performance by defining metrics, expectations, and goals.
* Partners with management personnel to continuously improve the injection mold plastics manufacturing processes and management methods to generate improved plant performance and workflow optimization and efficiencies.
* Directs supporting management teams to ensure proper maintenance of the equipment and facilities.
* Oversees and directs the inventory and materials management operation ensuring that materials necessary are on-hand for production orders.
* Assist the COO and Plant Engineer in developing and implementing the capital planning and implementation projects.
* Oversees and manages the overall budgets, spending, and headcount in his area of responsibility.
* Leads and manages a team of salaried direct reports which include by not limited to Assistant Plant Manager, Processing Manager, Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisors, Shipping Manager, Scheduling Manager, Purchasing Manager, Safety/Quality Control Manager.
* Establishes performance management goals for staff under his/her responsibility for measuring performance in line with company goals.
* Partners and actively collaborates with Human Resource Manager on performance and disciplinary documentation/actions on policy/procedure infractions.
* Oversees /Coordinates on-going training and compliance of company policies.
* Develops a team-oriented, collaborative culture amongst all departments of the organization.

*Education and Experience:*
* Bachelor or master s degree in Operation or Business Management
* *Minimum of 8-10 years of senior plant management level experience *in a high-speed manufacturing and operations environment.
* Demonstrated success as an innovative manufacturing leader including overseeing automated/robotic equipment.
* Experience with plastic injection molding environment is highly desired.
* Proven experience managing to the ISO or equivalent quality standards.
* Well-rounded operations management experience including a deep understanding and experience with operations tactics, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement, strategies and best practices and process discipline.
* Knowledge of production processes, raw materials, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
* Proficient in and proven experience utilizing ERP systems, preferably Dassault systems.
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite products with a strong emphasis on Excel.
* Demonstrated ability to manage operations efficiently and effectively with excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentational skills.

The Plant Manager must have the following:
* Ability to successfully build, lead and work as a team to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
* Ability to effectively communicate, in a professional tone and manner (both verbal and written means) expectations & directives to manufacturing staff.
* Results driven, analytical, self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to logically identify alternative solutions or approaches to complex problems.
* Ability to analyze written material and properly forecast/recommend based on assessment.
* Ability to multi-task with a high sense of urgency. Track record of excellent judgment and decision-making ability.
* Ability to physically move throughout the plant and perform essential job duties of production floor, ability to read, speak and communicate through both oral and written means.
* Ability to report on-site daily. This position does not offer work at home options.
* Ability to be flexible with work schedule. Typical work hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, but there are times when this person will be working outside of their normal hours (evenings, overnights, weekends) to accomplish the necessary workload.

Annual Salary $120,000K
