ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Process semi-monthly and bi-weekly multi-state payrolls for 15,000+ employees. Review payroll inputs and reports for accuracy. Coordinate with UKGPro partners regarding all payroll processing activities.

2. Assist with preparation and processing of supplemental payrolls, such as Bonus and Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan (SERP).

3. Serve as the escalation point of contact for payroll-related calls and emails. Serve as the Corporate payroll liaison to the outsourced payroll call center agents providing guidance and instruction for payroll related issues and inquiries. Manage the Outstanding issues log and provide recommendations for resolutions.

4. Perform data maintenance for PTO plans including vacation and sick time.

5. Validate and verify payroll data regarding new hires, terminations, employee updates, tax changes, rate changes, etc. Maintain integrity and confidentiality of employee information, documents, and records.

6.Create ad hoc reports using tools such as UKGPro Business Intelligence and excel. Distribute payroll reports to necessary departments as required.

7.Complete wage statement verifications and unemployment insurance information requests. Compile and prepare garnishment mail to send to outsourced provider.

8. Follow and maintain internal control policies, procedures, and compliance with respect to the payroll process, including but not limited to pay policies, payroll calendars, payroll checklists, process maps and other procedural documentation.

9. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

* 2+ years of experience related to payroll, benefits, and human resources.

* Attention to Detail - Ability to identify inconsistencies, inaccuracies, and misalignments. Able to maintain accuracy with a strong attention to detail when meeting deadlines.

* Professionalism- Demonstrate ability to maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion in handling sensitive information. Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

* Process Orientation - Utilizes a step-by-step cause and effect reasoning approach; effectively identifies the ripple effects of each action. Ability to manage tasks, show adaptability and meet deadlines.

* Written and Oral Communication - Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization with confidence and clarity. Provide customer focused interaction ensuring timely responses, accurate information, and effective follow-ups on all customer and/or internal requests and/or issues.

* Problem Solving - Ability to independently use resources to answer employee questions, and discernment to recognize situations requiring escalation. Ability to analyze and interpret data.

* Teamwork - Ability to work productively while balancing team and individual responsibilities. Demonstrates cooperative, collaborative, and courteous spirit to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate-level knowledge of Excel.
