WHAT YOU'LL DO
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team. The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial transactions and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the general ledger system. This position requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Prepare and maintain accurate and timely journal entries in the general ledger system
* Reconcile and analyze monthly balance sheets and income statements
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
* Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
* Analyze financial data and provide accurate and timely reports to management
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper recording and documentation of financial transactions
* Assist with the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures
* Provide support in preparing for audits and compliance reviews
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations
WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS)
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
* Must have good understanding of cost accounting and sub-ledgers
* Manufacturing experience preferred
* 3-5 years proven experience as a General Ledger Accountant or similar role
* Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
* Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
