This is a hybrid role requiring you to reside near to the facility and be onsite around 10 days per month.

Position Summary

This position shall be responsible for working with the other accounting and operations departments members to create accurate and timely financial information for the organization and prepare tools and reports to assist in the budgeting and forecasting process. Duties and Responsibilities

1) Supervising and coordinating the efforts of three cost accountants.

2) Creating and updating financial models and budgets as required by evolving business conditions.

3) Working with Operations to help ensure the accuracy of information related to costs and inventory.

4) Creating budgets, forecasts, and financial statements and reviewing them for accuracy.

5) Identifying cost drivers and developing meaningful metrics used to make business decisions.

6) Communicating with Operations and Accounting as to variances and the effects of business decisions.

7) Developing IT and manual internal controls to ensure complete and accurate financial records.

8) Coordinating and preparing pertinent information for the Management Team and Auditors.

9) Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance overall efficiency.

10) Assist in special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

1) Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

2) Prior experience with cost accounting and inventory-related transactions.

3) 5+ years of relevant and progressive experience in general accounting, preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting in a manufacturing environment.

4) Communication proficiency.

5) Collaboration skills.

6) Embrace change and flexibility.

Desired Competencies:

1) Experience with Great Plains Software is a plus.

2) Experience in a manufacturing environment.

3) The ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

4) Initiative.

5) The ability to work at times, under limited supervision.
