Summary/Objective:

Assist Team Leader in preparing financial information, processing journal entries into various accounts, reconciling reports and financial data.

**Essential Functions:**

* Ensure all financial records and statements are in line with laws, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

* Prepare edit and release the general ledger download to post daily Credit Union transactions

* Run daily general ledger reports reviewing for accuracy and completeness

* Interface with branches and other departments for necessary information exchanges and problem research

* Reconcile bank statements and general ledger balance sheet accounts on a daily or monthly basis

* Maintain various spreadsheets related to account analyses or reconciliation

* Reconcile outstanding treasurers checks daily

* Process approved employee expense vouchers timely

* Process corporate Visa Statements timely

* Compile and report statistics, as required under Regulation D, to the Federal Reserve weekly

* Maintain the in-house accounts payable system, which includes the following: Code all incoming invoices with proper g/l account number, enter into A/P system, send payment to appropriate vendor

* Processes approved invoices issuing checks

* Maintains a high level of integrity over processes assigned

* Research incoming vendor inquiries

* Maintain in house fixed asset system including additions, monthly depreciation and reconciliation to the general ledger

* Support DCU through teamwork and quality of service to internal and external customers

* Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Managers(s).

* Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related work experience

* Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases and spreadsheets

* 1 year of accounting experience

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier/scanner, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
