Equinox Consulting Partners LLC is seeking an experienced Senior PL/SQL Developer with strong Oracle coding skills to join our team in Richmond, VA. The ideal candidate will have expertise in PL/SQL development, data analysis, requirements development, and data modeling. Additionally, experience in application backend support, building interfaces between business applications, and working in Agile/Scrum environments is highly desired. This is a HYBRID role that will require the successful candidate to be onsite 2 days a week. Only local candidates will be considered. No third party candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize PL/SQL code for performance and scalability.
• Perform data analysis and develop data models to meet business requirements.
• Support application backend processes, including Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL Server development.
• Build interfaces between business applications to facilitate seamless data exchange.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
• Communicate effectively with business users and developers to gather requirements and provide updates on project status.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including design documents, data dictionaries, and process flows.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in database development and data analysis
• Experience with performance tuning techniques, data warehousing concepts, and version control systems is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements for database systems is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing project requirements.
• Commitment to customer focus and delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed stakeholder expectations.
• Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a PL/SQL Developer, with expertise in Oracle coding.
• Proficiency in data analysis, requirements development, and data modeling.
• Experience with application backend support and building interfaces between business applications.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate are a plus
