Moxee has been retained by a growing publicly traded manufacturer seeking a Production Manager to oversee its plant production. In this crucial role, you will oversee all production operations within our fast-paced manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient processes, quality control, and timely delivery of products to our customers. Our client had its best year in the company's history in 2023 and is set to eclipse that volume in 2024. This role will report directly to the Plant Manager.


Responsibilities:

  1. Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement effective production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization, ensuring on-time delivery, and minimizing production costs.
  2. Process Improvement: Continuously analyze and improve production processes, identifying bottlenecks, streamlining workflows, and implementing lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  3. Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the production team, fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
  4. Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, taking corrective actions as necessary.
  5. Resource Management: Effectively manage production resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, ensuring optimal utilization and minimizing waste.
  6. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed customer specifications and industry standards.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in production processes, equipment, and staff training, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, quality control methodologies, and production planning techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems, production planning software, and data analysis tools.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
