Summary:

The Annual Giving Student Associate is responsible for assisting Keuka College in reaching its annual fundraising goals through donor engagement opportunities.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Professionally communicate KC's mission and priorities, confirm and update address and employment information, thank donors for previous support of the College, ask alumni and parents/families to make a gift to the College by credit card or pledge, and share information about the College, including on-campus and off-campus alumni events via phone conversations
  • Complete Phonathon forms accurately and legibly, handle all forms of information with extreme confidentiality.
  • Serve as an ambassador by establishing an open and engaging line of communication between Keuka College and its supporters; reach out to alumni via email and mail to thank them for their support to the College
  • Work with other Annual Giving Student Associates in a team-oriented environment to further the development of the Keuka College Phonathon Program.
  • Assist at alumni events; help inform alumni about upcoming events, prepare for events, participate in events as needed
  • Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements.
  • Always maintain a professional and courteous attitude towards co-workers, internal and external customers, representing Keuka College, its programs, policies, and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.
  • Attend provided/necessary training and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.
  • Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka College mission, vision, and values and adhering to institutional policies.
  • Maintain a high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
  • Perform other functions as assigned by management.


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Eligible for a Keuka College work-study award.
  2. Keuka College student in the traditional undergraduate on-campus program.
  3. Must be reliable, energetic, an articulate communicator, and work well within a group setting.
  4. Courteous, enthusiastic, conversant, and involved on-campus. Networking and relationship building experience is also key.
  5. Previous fundraising, telemarketing, customer service, or sales experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
  6. Must be able to commit to a minimum of two (2) shifts per pay period and understand that unexcused absences will not be tolerated.
  7. Arrive on time and with a positive attitude to scheduled calling sessions.
  8. Knowledgeable and passionate about Keuka College.
  9. Good time management skills.
  10. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  11. Always understand and behave with a high level of integrity and complete confidentiality.
  12. Ability to be sensitive to and respond to needs/concerns of students, faculty, college staff and the public.
  13. Ability to work under pressure with a high tolerance for interruptions, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.


Physical Requirements:
  • Work hours vary; some nights and weekends may be required.
  • Occasional lifting to 25 lbs.
