Carolina Legal Staffing is seeking an experienced personal injury paralegal for their Downtown Charleston office.
Personal Injury Paralegal Position
- Established and respected plaintiff personal injury firm in Downtown Charleston that handles a wide variety of cases in state, federal, and appellate courts
- Position is full time and open immediately

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of recent personal injury paralegal experience in a law firm required
- Experience with both state and federal e-filing, as well as judge preferences required
- Familiarity with SC and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure is required
- Experience with appellate matters preferred
- Proficient in Windows, Microsoft Word, and Outlook is required (Excel and Powerpoint preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with other team members
- Strong personal work ethic and ability to organize time, manage diverse activities, and meet critical deadlines with minimal supervision
- Excellent writing, editing, and proof-reading skills, with the ability to be detail-oriented
Sample Responsibilities
- Answering case intake calls and interviewing potential clients
- Interacting with existing clients
- Entering information and records into case management system
- Obtaining medical records and bills from clients and healthcare facilities
- Discovery work including drafting and answering interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
- Drafting and serving subpoenas and FOIA requests
- Legal document preparation and drafting including pleadings, motions, trial documents, etc.
