We are seeking a Procurement Analyst for our First Quality Tissue facility located in Lock Haven, PA. This position requires an individual with a superb skill set that excels in service to internal customers, is a team player, demonstrates a strong sense of urgency, and can build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Beyond the technical qualifications of the position, it is important that the individual demonstrates a character with strong family values and a willingness to build a solid working relationship with others with hands-on ownership. The key to this position will be an understanding and experience of sourcing and order management processes and the ability to enact the sourcing process with cross functional teams.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Confirms pricing aligns with negotiated terms and requests quotes for new or non-contract items
  • Negotiates some commercial terms
  • Primary focus on Indirect Procurement needs, some Spare Parts
  • Reviews quotes, requisitions, and purchase orders for accuracy and conformance with established policies, procedures, and expectations
  • Converts requisitions to purchase orders and confirms deliveries with suppliers
  • Expedites delivery of orders, follows up on late deliveries, tracks and follows up on backorders, and makes special arrangements for delivery
  • Works with suppliers and internal customers to resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Assesses risks to supply and works to mitigate
  • Works cross-functionally on continuous improvement activities and project support
  • Investigate and evaluate new sources of supply for MRO parts/services
  • Works with team to maintain systems with accurate part numbers, pricing, and suppliers to ensure efficient processes
  • Establishes and maintains effective communications and partnerships with suppliers
  • Leverage supplier base for more favorable pricing
  • Trains new hires
  • Other duties as requested
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • BS in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years Procurement/Purchasing experience preferred
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook with SAP and Infor proficiency a plus
  • Good communication and facilitation skills
  • Must be customer-focused, team-oriented, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency
