ITS has a client in the Toledo, OH area seeking a Facilities Maintenance Tech. This is a direct hire position with full benefits including 401k.
A facilities maintenance worker performs a variety of routine and semi- skilled tasks involving general maintenance of the facilities, equipment, and grounds
This role requires a problem solver who is well organized with the ability to prioritize facility needs
This role may include daily and weekend overtime
Depending on assignment, duties may include repairing leaks, unplugging toilets, drains, cleaning the die pits, scrap pickup, cleaning fans, floors, replacing electrical receptacles, performing routine carpentry work, minor paint jobs, installing doors, up to and not limited to replacing air filters and any other duties asked for by the maintenance manager
Also, in this role, we are looking for a groundskeeper that has experience in all aspects of landscaping and grounds maintenance
This is a full-time year-around position that assists with snow removal during the winter months.
*REQUIREMENTS:*
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Experience operating large industrial equipment is preferred
* Forklift Operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program is required within the first 30 days of employment for both sit-down, as well as stand-up lifts.
* Prefer six (6) months experience operating a forklift and/or stand-up lift.
* Physical ability to mount/dismount forklift through the duration of the shift which requires bending, stretching, stepping, reaching, climbing, and stooping, as well as standing, walking, crouching, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
* Must be well organized and capable of producing quality workmanship.
* Follow safety procedures while performing duties, including safely operating, using and maintaining standard yard tools and ground power equipment.
* Maintain plants and grounds by: mowing and trimming, planting, and seeding, fertilizing, weeding, irrigating etc.
* Landscaping experience preferred
Perform daily sweeps of the grounds to ensure trash/debris is picked up daily from common areas
Empty common area trash containers when needed.
* Must be physically able to walk long distances, dig, shovel, climb, bend, push, stoop, pull, crawl, lift and carry heavy weights and operate ground power equipment, etc.
