Here's what you'll do:

  • Architect the future: Design and implement scalable NGS (next-gen sequencing) data analysis pipelines, pushing the boundaries of bioinformatics.
  • Take ownership: Spearhead the development of an in-house LIMS system, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Shape the vision: Collaborate with all teams to define impactful software and bioinformatics development roadmaps.
  • Be the expert: Ensure efficient software development lifecycle (SDLC) with best practices and on-call support.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds a B.S./M.S. in a relevant field (CS, Bioinformatics, etc.) with 7+ years of experience. (Will consider fewer years of overall experience with the right background)
  • Codes like a champion: Unix, Python, and distributed computing are your playground.
  • Bioinformatics guru: You have a proven track record of developing, automating, and maintaining sequencing bioinformatics pipelines.
  • Software Rockstar: You champion best practices (version control, release management, testing) and CI/CD.
  • Analytical powerhouse: Your problem-solving skills are matched by your organizational prowess.
  • Machine Learning curious: Experience with machine learning, statistics, and predictive modeling is a plus.
