Executive Director of Regional Non-Profit
Starting Salary of $100K + DOE
The Home Builders Association of Greater Baton Rouge, HBAGBR, is searching for an Executive Director to lead and manage its organization based in Baton Rouge, LA.
The successful candidate will be a self-directed and creative professional with experience in non-profit leadership. You will use your experience to guide and direct HBAGBR operations as an operating manager. This opportunity also includes leading affiliated trade associations by influence, assuring effective communication and inspiring collaboration amongst the HBAGBR network.

About the job :
The Executive Director plans, manages, communicates and directs activities, people and programs which further the objectives of HBAGBR. The Executive Director works closely with the HBAGBR Board of Directors and Executive Committee in proposing and executing plans consistent with the direction provided by the Board, EC, strategic plan and standing policies. The successful candidate will be self-directed, highly visible in the home building community and will effectively collaborate with local business owners, industry leaders, political leaders and media.
Position Requirements :
- Four (4) Year college degree, Marketing and/or Business helpful
- Experience or knowledge in Home Building Associations and / or Non-Profits
- Must have experience managing a successful business
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to travel and work non-regular hours for events and governmental meetings
- Strong computer skills
- Effective skills in the areas of negotiation, compromise, and persuasion
