Controller
LHH is conducting a search for a hands-on Controller. The role is with a large transportation company whose HQ is based out of Philly. This is a great opportunity to join a tremendously stable company with significant longevity. This is a direct hire, hybrid role in center city Philly. The role will be 3x per week on site, 2x remote.
They need someone who can jump in and lead their close-knit finance team. This is a roll up your sleeves type of position that offers a stable, team oriented atmosphere. Position reports to the CFO.
A Day in the Life
This position will be responsible for oversight of a team of 15 on the accounting and finance team. You have strong experience in Transportation, Architecture, Engineering, Development industries, including hands on month end functions.
You will be responsible for oversight of:
All General Accounting (reporting, audit)
Accounts Payable team
Accounts Receivable team
Fixed assets,
Revenue accounting
General accounting monthly close functions, and
preparing board level financial statements and presentations.
Integrity, excellent organizational skills, and communication skills are just some of the core focuses of the role. Personality is key: driven, motivated, getting hands dirty, just getting the job done and not dragging feet
Job Requirements
You possess:
- At least 10+ years relevant, stable accounting/ financial experience
- CPA is required
- Strong supervisory experience is required
- Experience with grant reporting/accounting experience a plus
- Excellent communication skills and can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- In depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including financial statement prep
- Experience in public accounting is a plus.
- A Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Tech savvy with strong working knowledge of MS Office, including demonstrable expertise with Excel
Salary: $160,000 - 175,000
Location: Philadelphia, PA*
*3x per week on site, 2x remote
