Job Details

The potential salary range for this role is $45,000 - 48,000 annually. Total pay based on experience, qualifications, and performance.


The Seat Shop is the Authority in Factory Match Replacement Seat Covers and Foam Cushions for full-size trucks and SUV s. In simple terms, we help our clients fix their torn-up seats and enjoy their ride again.


Way back in 2006, two brothers with a big dream and a little extra cash started this business out of their garage. 18 years later, we ve grown into a team of about 40, manufacturing and selling our own automotive products that look, fit, and feel just like the factory originals.


2024 is turning out to be another exciting year of change for The Seat Shop, and we re looking to expand our Research and Development division with a full-time, in-house Production Administrator in Plano, Texas.


We are looking for a motivated and detailed problem solver to join The Seat Shop s Research and Development team. This is a support role that works closely with the Production Systems Manager and other internal teams to keep production up and running. The Production Administrator s responsibilities include adding and updating data to production systems to support the manufacturing processes. This role will work closely with sourcing, inventory, cutting, and sewing teams.


To be a successful production administrator, you will need to be highly detailed and perform above average at problem solving.


Overview:


As the Production Administrator, you will be a subject matter expert on production related data and systems, and will support our technical systems, processes, and procedures.


Some of your specific responsibilities in this role will include:


  • Creating product schematics
  • Documenting product bill of materials in MS Access
  • Maintaining quality production data in the following systems
  • Mind PDM (product data management system for leather/textiles)
  • Microsoft Access dBs, Microsoft Excel, GoogleSheets, etc.
  • Support maintenance / updates to production (files / systems / processes / procedures)
  • Contribute to training and support of production team members.
  • Production triage and issue logging / prioritization currently using Click-Up for issue tracking.
  • Update MS Access tables and queries.
  • Match materials to be used in production.
  • Work closely with Sewing team to identify issues, and track fixes.


Priority will be given for:


  • Bi-lingual speaking English and Spanish
  • Experience with automotive upholstery
  • Experience with aftermarket auto parts manufacturing
  • Experience with relational databases (MS Access, SQL, etc.)
