Pfisterer North America is the US subsidiary of a 100-year-old family-owned company based in Germany that is a global leader in electrical connection technology and high-voltage insulation. The company is introducing several new product lines to North America as part of their global expansion, and they are seeking several new additions to their existing team that has been operating in the US since 2015.
About the Job
For our international client Pfisterer North America we are looking for an experienced Training and Assembly Supervisor. You will take on the responsibility for training technicians to assemble high-voltage Pfisterer cables and connectors for the energy transmission and distribution sector at our newly-built site in Rochester, NY.
The Position
Under the direction of the Head of NA Operations, this position is responsible for training and assembly of Pfisterer products. The position will work together with Operations to schedule and coordinate all training and assembly functions.
Your duties will include:
- Responsible for all training of assembly workers of Pfisterer products in North America in their new training hub.
- Experience with suppliers including but not limited to Connex, Sicon, EHV cable accessories, PLUG, etc. is a plus.
- Support and supervise the assembly process when not training
- Manage tool inventory for use in the assembly process
- Train new hires and employees on advanced assemblies
Required Skills/Abilities
- Must have a minimum 5 years of experience with MV and HV cable construction and prep
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience installing cable accessories is preferred
- Prior experience with Pfisterer products is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of the industry and product line
- Prior training experience and a full understanding of installation procedures is necessary
- Presentation skills and customer service are key

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (on-site)
Salary: $90-110K based on experience
