Role Description

This is a full-time, possibly hybrid, role as a Loan Officer Assistant at SimpLend Mortgage LLC. The Loan Officer Assistant will be responsible for assisting loan officers in various tasks related to the mortgage industry, including customer service, underwriting, and communication. The role is primarily located in Trevose, PA, but offers flexibility for some remote work.


This role is perfect for someone starting out in the mortgage space, or a recent graduate who is looking to make their mark in the world of financial services. The LOA will assist SimpLend's first 1-3 Loan Officers, including SimpLend's President who actively originates. The LOA will be required to complete the steps necessary to become a licensed Loan Originator in their first months with the company.


Qualifications

  • Prior customer service experience of some form
  • Mortgage industry experience preferred but not required.
  • The ability to quickly read and understand written guidelines for loan products.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.


Relevant skills and qualifications that would be beneficial for this role include:


  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Familiarity with sales software is preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving/reasoning abilities
  • History of teamwork and collaboration


Special Note

SimpLend is within its first six months of founding. As with any startup (especially one in an industry experiencing significant headwinds), the nature of the position comes with both unique risks and unique rewards.


The job duties above are likely to change to business needs as we grow the company. Change may be experienced rapidly. Additionally, the offered benefits of the company will be somewhat different than what an applicant may experience in a more established company.
