This position is for our studio Slate, Colorado s premier commercial furnishing contractor.


Job Summary:

As an Installer, you will be responsible for the professional and accurate assembly and installation of products in commercial spaces. This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with clients and other team members.


Essential Functions

  • Receive and review project plans and installation instructions to understand the scope of work.
  • Provides professional customer interface and client relations throughout project.
  • Transport furniture, materials, fixtures, and equipment to client sites and unload them safely.
  • Assemble and install furniture/building materials following manufacturer guidelines and project specifications.
  • Ensure accuracy and quality in installation, taking necessary measurements and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with the project team, including designers, project managers, and other installers, to coordinate installation schedules and activities.
  • Safely operate hand and power tools to assemble and install furniture and fixtures.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot components for defects or damages, addressing issues as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at the installation site and ensure all debris is properly disposed of.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and supervisors to provide updates on installation progress and address any concerns.
  • Comply with safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment during installations.
  • Responsible for obtaining customer signoffs, approvals and formal paperwork to confirm project completion.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in using hand and power tools for furniture assembly.
  • Knowledge of furniture installation techniques, including assembly instructions and hardware usage.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality installations.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy furniture and equipment safely.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, collaborating with project teams and other installers.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
  • Time management skills to meet installation schedules and deadlines.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment during installations.
  • Valid Driver's License required.


Education and Experience

  • 2 3 years of experience in furniture or construction installation, preferably in the contract furniture industry.
  • Well versed in commercial product assembly, commercial furniture a plus.
  • Well versed in using power tools.
