Our Client: Our client is a growing boutique catering company that has been operating for over 20 years in the Bay Area. They are a high-end caterer serving the top companies and families in the Bay Area.
Position Overview: The ideal candidate has high-end and large event beverage management experience. Someone forward-thinking, proactive, and self-managed is a must. This person will have excellent interpersonal skills while working closely with the sales and clients, turning the client s vision into reality.
Responsibilities:
- Create seasonal, customized, and accurate drink menus that exceed client expectations.
- Train and hire bar staff on cocktail menus, and proper steps of service.
- Purchase and maintain alcohol inventory for all events.
- Maximize the profitability of the bar program by accurately pricing all BEOs by properly costing; accounting for pour cost, spillage, and waste.
- Ensure compliance with all health codes, cleanliness, and proper server/bartender licensing for events and locations.
- Create reports and track drink expenses, revenue, and inventory.
- Meet with clients to discuss different drink options for a variety of high-end events, upselling when able.
- Work cross-functionally with the Sales, Events, and Kitchen staff.
- Meet or exceed revenue expectations by ensuring high-profit margins, proper inventory management and upsell opportunities.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of beverage experience and 2+ years of managing a high-end bar program.
- Track record of providing memorable experiences to high-end clientele.
- Extensive knowledge of craft cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
- Sommelier, WSET or CSE certification is a plus.
