Harney District Hospital is looking to hire a full-time Admissions & Customer Service Representative to join our team. This full-time position will work approximately 40 hours per week. The starting hourly wage is $15.76 and increases based on experience. This full-time position is also eligible for medical, vision, dental and retirement benefits. An Admissions & Customer Service Representative is responsible for greeting visitors and patients, as well as, performing a variety of office tasks related to admitting of patients. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge of general office practices, computer/data entry procedures, operation of office equipment, use of telephone systems, arithmetic, spelling, English and grammar. General knowledge of confidentiality concepts and requirements. Ability to communicate effectively with public, insurance companies and staff both orally and in writing. Ability to maintain processes and composure while handling a sensitive situation with coworkers, patients, or visitors.

Equivalent to a high school education and six (6) months related experience or any satisfactory combination of experience and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities.

Previous experience working with public and/or in a hospital environment and experience communicating with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds is desired but not required.
