Description

Responsible for picking orders, wrapping & packaging products, loading & unloading materials from trucks, staging material, processing orders through ERP system with PC and handheld scanners, putting away inventory, inventory counts, and communicating with drivers, customer service representatives, and other team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Shipping products with 100% accuracy; includes picking, packing and shipping of all orders, set requests, and mailings.
  • Covers in the showroom for lunch breaks, training, or meetings to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conducts quality control checks on customized garment orders before shipping.
  • Updates the product inventory as products are received and added to inventory.
  • Supports team in maintaining inventory accuracy, maintenance and audits.
  • Ability to review shipment for signs of damage and bring any issues to the direct supervisors.
  • Assist team members with order picking, shipping, and receipt of materials.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory product quality standards, sanitation standards, employee safety and environmental standards.
  • Assist team members and supervisor in maintaining clean and organized warehouse space.
  • Trained and proficient in ERP systems for picking, shipping, and inventory requirements.
  • Receiving products and assisting with the unloading of trucks.
  • Communicate issues, concerns, problems with incoming loads to Warehouse supervisors.
  • Receiving inbound trucks & deliveries.
  • Complies with all Witmer Public Safety Group Policies and Procedures.
  • Performs any other duties or projects assigned by the management team.


Requirements

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Able to work schedule of Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have 2-3 years of experience working in a warehousing/distribution environment.
  • Must have experience with (warehousing) ERP System. Netsuite preferred.
  • Identifies the problem and considers potential solutions. Employs multiple problem-solving strategies. Seeks assistance as necessary.
  • Must be enthusiastic, attentive to details, creative thinker, self-motivated, proactive, and always maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Must have excellent time management and multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to change priorities quickly as needed; ability to independently handle stress and maintain a mature problem-solving demeanor.
