As a Property Maintenance position at Horizon, you will...
- Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical, floor covering, painting and seasonal needs.
- Troubleshoot all building systems to proactively maintain building operations.
- Coordinate with vendor and subcontractors
- Complete all appropriate paperwork.
- Take direction from the Property Manager on issues concerning property management and maintenance. Manages productivity and daily job responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, repairing, maintaining, constructing, renovating, demolishing, and moving building systems as needed. Ensures that building meets all appropriate compliance.
- Perform universal precautions and uses personal protective equipment, follows all OSHA, DOH and building regulations.
- Perform regulatory building audits, inspections, maintains reports and tracking systems to provide a safe and healthy environment for all clients and staff.
- Manage a preventative maintenance program for building systems.
- Provide oversight of all exterior property conditions
- Additional duties may be required, but are not limited to the following: renovation projects including alterations of walls, carpentry, drywall, electrical, doors, ceilings, plumbing, floor covering and paint
- Communicate effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Navigate and utilize computer-based work order system.

- Previous maintenance experience required.
- A clean, valid NYS driver's license and have reliable transportation to travel locally on a regular basis.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
LocationThis position is location at our Horizon Village Campus located at 6301 Inducon Drive East, Sanborn NY 14132.
Position HoursFull time,Monday through Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm.
CompensationHorizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $18.60-$20.00. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.
Physical demands associated with this position include:- Stationary posture, alternating between standing and sitting
- Ascending/descending on various structures (e.g. ladders)
- Local travel between worksites
- Operating machinery/power tools and occasional operation of company owned motor vehicles and heavy equipment
- Lifting objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Exposure to various environmental conditions including low/high temperatures, and outdoor elements
