**Position Summary:**

The Regional Sales Associate (RSA) is responsible for initiating pre-sales prospective customer contact, following up on marketing leads. The RSA will contact these leads to determine customers specific hardware needs and set up sales meetings with (either or both) the Channel Support Manager and Regional Sales Manager. The RSA will input customer contact information, sales quotes and other related information into the Salesforce database. The RSA may assist in developing and delivering technical presentations and perform product demonstrations, while learning/observing how to act as a Stratus subject matter expert in addressing the technical questions of our partners and customers. This is a dynamic customer interfacing position that requires strong technical and communication skills and a willingness to learn, listen and process technical information.

**Responsibilities:**

* Responsible for taking marketing leads and turning them into sales prospects.

* Responsible for supporting the territory channel partners by initiating and providing technical knowledge to clients and potential clients to set up a sales call

* Gains knowledge in pre-sale by attending presentations, product demonstrations, and installations/implementations.

* Works closely with the CSM and Regional Manager evaluating/communicating business and technical requirements to develop Stratus solutions tailored to the availability needs of our partners and customers

* Inputs customer information, sales quotes and other pertinent sales/customer information into the Salesforce software system

* May assist in preparation of system configurations and quotes using Stratus quoting tools and partner sizing tools (where applicable and directed)

* May participate in training, webinars, joint on-site deployment, etc.to increase knowledge of customer needs and Stratus product lines

* Build technical and commercial relationships with key solution partners and capitalize on referrals where appropriate

* Willingness to travel as per the position requirements (may be up to 40%)

**Experience:**

* Background in knowledge of computing hardware desired

* Knowledge of Network IT systems, automation equipment, and other hardware preferred

**Skills:**

* Exceptional communication skills and strong business acumen: You will communicate at many levels within our partner and customer organizations and the ability to comfortably participate in both business and technical discussions is essential

* Strong presentation skills verbal and utilizing software presentation tools

* Capability to succeed in an environment in which self-motivation and initiative are critical success factors

* Require intermediate to above average Microsoft Office skills, especially utilizing Excel

**Education:**

* Associates or Bachelors degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
