Corman Switching Company has an immediate opening for a **Mechanical/Welder Team Member** to join our team in **Tupelo, MS**. The candidate will perform rail car, and equipment repairs.
**Mechanic Duties:**
* Experienced in welding preferred
* Experience in rail car repair preferred
* Observance of Operating and Safety Procedures
* Perform maintenance which includes: adding oil to engine, adding sand and water to engine, lubricating all hinges, replacing all worn dc electric motor brushes within locomotive, changing all filters, adding traction motor grease to motors and removing dirt from electrical cabinets
* Railcar repairs.
* Knowledge of power and hydraulic tools.
* Service crane operation.
* Welding and oxygen/acetylene torching.
* Maintenance of assigned vehicle.
* General repairs of other equipment if necessary.
* Trouble shoots and repairs equipment as needed.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Maintain safe and clean work area.
