Haus of Blaylock seeks an Associate Interior Designer to join our growing team in Fort Worth, TX. You will assist the principal designer with sourcing for presentations, preparation for client meetings, construction detailing and project management, installations, drafting floor plans and elevations, problem-solving, and maintaining delivery schedules.
Applicants must possess a passion and ability to work with a fast-paced team and take direction, as appropriate. The candidate must be a strategic thinker who pays attention to detail. They must possess the skills to execute projects with style, flexibility, and enthusiasm within an intimate office setting. The applicant should be forward in promoting a culture of constant improvement being willing to provide insight into best practices where they see a need to improve.
Time management and adaptability are essential. Must be able to pivot tasks depending on the needs of the firm and clients. This includes assisting with studio logistics at times accepting orders, organizing our sample library, and interacting with potential clients, retail customers, & vendor reps. This is a physically active job.
Salary
$50,000 - $60,000 a year
Salary will be commensurate with experience

Qualifications
Bachelor's in Interior Design (Required)
Interior design experience: 2 years with portfolio (Required)
Job Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in residential interior design portfolio required
Bachelor s degree in Interior Design
Creative with a strong eye for multiple design styles emphasis on classic, contemporary, and transitional design
Proficiency at communicating design through various methodologies - preparing furniture layout plans and custom furniture drawings for production
Demonstrates knowledge of materials, applications, and specifications in the following areas: custom furnishings; fine art & antiques; and luxury fabrics
Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office required
Knowledge of Studio Designer a plus
Ability to research & source furniture, fabrics, and finish for internal review and client meetings
Creating client proposals and vendor purchase orders, organizing deliveries, and tracking purchases for installation
Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment
Confident leader, who is collaborative and team-oriented
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Professional, elegant, and polished personal presence
Honest, reliable, and punctual the ability to work in the office during regular business hours
