Server - House of Seven Brothers Job Details Job Location 7 Cedars Casino - Sequim, WA Position Type Part Time Salary Range $13.69 - $13.69 Hourly Job Shift Any Job Description Responsible for coordinating entire station and maintaining communication with kitchen personnel to provide a dining experience that meets or exceeds guest expectations. Goes beyond the expected in service and creates a lasting positive impression of the resort.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
* Process guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and on a timely basis and charged accordingly.
* Knowledge of the restaurants food and beverage selections inside and out, including special offers.
* Assists management by informing them of guest complaints.
* Accommodates guests time restrictions by giving fast and prompt service.
* Presents menu to diner, suggesting dinner courses and answering questions regarding food preparation and conduct suggestive sales.
* Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
* Observes diners to ensure that guests are satisfied with the food, beverage, and service.
* Responds to additional requests and determines when the meal has been completed.
* Total bills, accepts payments and works on computerized cash register.
* Stocks station.
* Removes and resets dishes and silverware between courses.
* Clean and reset tables; Coordinate tasks with busser.
* Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
* Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
* Follow all general and department policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
* Food/beverage service experience preferred.
* Ability to use applicable Point of Sale.
* Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
* Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills.
* Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
* Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
* Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
* American Indian/Alaska Native preferences apply .
**REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR TESTING**
* Must be able to pass a background investigation.
* Must be a able to pass a pre-hire drug screening.
* Must possess/have the ability to obtain a current Food Handlers.
* Must possess/have the ability to obtain a current Alcohol Servers Certification/Card.
* Must be able to complete 7 Cedars Resort customer service program.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS**
* Must be able to work in a smoker friendly environment.
* Must be available to work any shift (to include all hours, weekends, and/or holidays as job duties require).
* Must be able to lift, push and carry up to 30 lbs. unassisted.
* Physical ability to access all areas of the property applicable to your position.
* Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, sitting, walking, carrying heavy plates, bending, climbing and twisting without restriction.
* Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
* Must have the ability to reach at or below/above shoulder level on a continuous basis.
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with customers, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
